Volunteer Opportunities
It takes a tremendous amount of work to effectively run an organization of our size and provide the quality coaching and opportunities we all want for our children. Our volunteer program gives families a chance to contribute to the club’s success and help us manage our operations efficiently. Many of the volunteer opportunities will also give our teenage players a chance to participate.
If you have specific questions, please reach your team manager or a board member for help.
There are many ways to get involved including Coaching, Managing teams, Joining our Management Team, and Helping with practices and games. Volunteering opportunities of all kinds and at different times of the year are available.
For families that receive financial aid, the expectation is six (6) hours of volunteer service per player per season.
Coaching
Become a coach! Contact the Director of Coaching and we’ll get you setup helping a team, either as an Assistant or Head Coach, depending on your skill level. You will be required to be screened through US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer, and we require all coaches to go through training and education.
Team Management
Every team needs a Team Manager. One person can serve in this role, but it may be delegated to multiple parents. Responsibilities include: (a) sending out notices on practices, games and tournaments (email or text); (b) arranging team dinners and team-building events; (c) answering questions; (d) collecting player paperwork; or (e) being the liaison between parents, coaches, and the club. Contact your Head Coach if you want to volunteer to be the Team Manager.
Fundraising
Throughout the year we put together club-wide fundraising events, such as Raffles, Dinners, Auctions, and Gift Sales. Volunteers are needed to setup, check-in, cashier, sales, and more. Whenever you hear about an event, please let us know you’re available to help.
Sponsor and Donation Solicitation
We are actively seeking sponsors and donors. If you’d like to donate your time to contact individuals and businesses, please let us know.
Friday Night Clinics
This is a club-wide event where coaches work with players on Striking/Finishing and Goal-Keeping. We need help with setup, check-in, and break-down of equipment. Please contact us if you’re available to help.
Tryout Help
Volunteers will be needed for setup; to check in tryout participants; completion of required forms/information; and, break-down of equipment. We also need parents already involved in the club to be ambassadors, to talk with prospective parents and answer questions. Please contact the Director of Coaching or any Board Member if you’d like to volunteer.
